PHILADELPHIA – Resurfacing is scheduled for Spring Lane and Evans Street on Monday, November 11th, announced Streets Commissioner Carlton Williams. Temporary roadway restrictions are in effect from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. On Spring Lane between Hagys Mill Road west to Manatawanna Farm and Evans Street between Woodhaven and Byberry Road/ Work is weather-permitting, and if completed sooner than expected will result in the openings of Spring Lane and Evans Street ahead of schedule.
Motorist are encouraged to use Roosevelt Blvd as an alternate route for Evans Street. Local access will be permitted to use Spring Lane. The temporary closures will allow City employees to resurface the roadways. Work has been scheduled for the daytime in order to expedite the repairs and minimize the disruption to motorists.
For the duration of the work, Streets Department crews will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience to affected drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians. The Streets Department thanks residents in advance for their patience and cooperation during this project.
