Mrs. Ida Massey, a senior citizen, called us to let us know that the crew that services her street are very sweet, kind and helpful.
Her story is that her husband was going out of their house (1000 block of Bingham Street), tripped and fell, hurting himself enough to be taken to the hospital. The crew had just taken the trash from the next door neighbor’s house, and saw Mr. Massey fall. They helped him up and offered to call 911, but Mrs. Massey said they didn’t need to. She called her daughter to take Mr. Massey and her to Holy Redeemer Hospital.
Mrs. Massey is 86 years young, and her husband is 88 years young. They wanted to thank the Streets Department for the kindness and assistance offered by the crew towards her and her husband in a moment of need.
