PHILADELPHIA – Roadway maintenance is scheduled for Cresheim Valley Drive on Saturday, August 3rd announced Streets Commissioner Carlton Williams. Temporary roadway restrictions are in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Cresheim Valley Drive between Germantown and Stenton Avenues. Work is weather-permitted, and if completed sooner than expected will result in the opening of Cresheim Valley Drive earlier.
Alternate routes for this stretch of roadway include Gorgas and Mermaid Lanes. Detour routes will not be posted. The temporary closure will allow City employees to safely make repairs to the guiderail and trim the trees along the winding stretch of road. This work has been scheduled on a Saturday in order to expedite the repairs and minimize the disruption to motorists.
For the duration of the work, Streets Department crews will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience to affected drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians. The Streets Department thanks residents in advance for their patience and cooperation during this project.
